The Daniel K. Inouye Graduate School of Nursing
at the Uniformed Services University prepares advanced practice nurses and nurse scientists
for the unique challenges of military medicine. The GSN students explore the fields of nursing
through a signature blend of science, research and field training. The lessons learned on the USU campus and
beyond the traditional classroom prepare the GSN graduates to take on a diverse range of
challenges and succeed in any environment. From the time you see the patient for the
first time and you see them over the course of their hospitalization or even their operation. Just seeing them progress, getting back to
a normal sense of life, it’s probably the most rewarding thing I can think of.
