Senator Al Franken on Health Care Debate

>>Jimmy: I LOVE THAT YOU’RE A SENATOR. IT GIVES ME — KIND OF GIVES ME HOPE FOR THE FUTURE, IT REALLY DOES.>>UH, WELL, YOU KNOW. SOMETIMES YOU GIVE ME HOPE FOR THE FUTURE. I WANT TO THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU’VE BEEN DOING. [ CHEERS AND APPLAUSE ]>>Jimmy: OH, THAT’S NOT — >>AND, YOU KNOW, USUALLY — I DON’T LIKE IT WHEN COMEDIANS GET INVOLVED IN POLITICS. [ LAUGHTER ] BUT WHEN YOU DID THAT, THE MONOLOGUE AFTER YOUR SON BILLY WAS BORN — AND BY THE WAY, IT WAS ONE OF THE LEAST FUNNY MONOLOGUES I’VE SEEN YOU GIVE. [ LIGHT LAUGHTER ]>>Jimmy: ODDLY, IT WASN’T.>>BUT IT WAS IMPORTANT. IT WAS VERY IMPORTANT. AND PROBABLY THE MOST IMPORTANT MONOLOGUE YOU’VE DONE. BECAUSE — OR AT LEAST UP TO THAT TIME. BECAUSE YOU’D NEVER GIVEN AN IMPORTANT MONOLOGUE BEFORE. [ LAUGHTER ]>>Jimmy: THAT IS TRUE, I HADN’T.>>ANYWAY. SO — BUT IT REALLY WAS IMPORTANT. BECAUSE IT SORT OF LAID OUT WHAT THE STAKES ARE IN HEALTH CARE. >>Jimmy: YES. >>AND ESPECIALLY NOW VR THAT WE ARE SEEING THIS LAST ITERATION OF TRUMPCARE. AND, YOU KNOW — I THINK IT’S OFFICIALLY CALLED “THE SCREW YOU BILLY KIMMEL ACT.”>>Jimmy: THAT IS WHAT THEY’RE CALLING IT?>>NO, NO, IT’S GRAHAM/CASSIDY. >>Jimmy: WHICH SOUNDS LIKE A FOX NEWS ANCHOR, GRAHAM CASSIDY.>>IT DOES. >>Jimmy: SOMEBODY WHO WON A BEAUTY PAGEANT IN FLORIDA. >>IN THE SOUTH THEY USE LAST NAMES AS FIRST NAMES.>>Jimmy: YES, RIGHT, EXACTLY. >>THEY DO. BUT THE STAKES HERE ARE SO HIGH. FOR EXAMPLE, PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS. YOU MENTIONED THIS IN YOUR MONOLOGUE. >>Jimmy: RIGHT. >>RIGHT NOW YOU CANNOT BE — YOU’RE PROTECTED IF YOU HAVE A PRE-EXISTING CONDITION, YOU CAN’T BE PREJUDICED AGAINST. YOU HAVE A CERTAIN ESSENTIAL HEALTH BENEFITS. LIKE HOSPITALIZATION AND PRESCRIPTION DRUGS AND MENTAL HEALTH, ET CETERA. YOU HAVE — YOU CAN’T HAVE LIFETIME LIMITS. BEFORE OBAMACARE THEY USED TO HAVE LIFETIME LIMITS AND YOU COULD GO THROUGH YOUR CAP, THEY’D HAVE THESE CAPS, THEN NO MORE. >>Jimmy: AND THAT IS SO CRAZY IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT. >>WELL, IT WAS SO TERRIBLE FOR KIDS LIKE — >>Jimmy: LIKE MY SON. >>LIKE YOUR SON BILLY, WHOSE DAD ISN’T CASHING, YOU KNOW, OLD MAN SHOW CHECKS. >>Jimmy: RIGHT, RIGHT. [ LAUGHTER ]>>YOU KNOW?>>Jimmy: BY THE WAY, WE’RE WORKING ON “THE OLD MAN SHOW” RIGHT NOW.>>RIGHT, THAT’S RIGHT.>>Jimmy: YEAH, BECAUSE HE COULD POTENTIALLY, AT LIKE — BY THE TIME HE’S 10 YEARS OLD, HE COULD HAVE ALREADY HIT HIS LIFETIME CAP. AND THEN FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE, HE’S KIND OF ON HIS OWN. >>MEDICAID. THIS THING ENDS MEDICAID AS WE KNOW IT. YOU KNOW? IT BLOCK GRANTS IT, WHICH IS A TECHNICAL TERM, BUT BASICALLY CUTS HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS FROM MEDICAID. I HAD A MEDICAID EVENT IN MINNESOTA A FEW MONTHS AGO. AND WE HAD A YOUNG MAN THERE NAMED BRANDON, 20 YEARS OLD. HE HAD BEEN BORN VERY PREMATURE. HE WEIGHED ABOUT 1.5 POUNDS, A LITTLE BIT MORE, WHEN HE WAS BORN. DOCTORS SAVED HIS LIFE. BUT THE CARE THEY GAVE HIM IN THE FIRST COUPLE OF DAYS WAS ABOUT — WAS OVER $1 MILLION.>>Jimmy: WOW. >>AND THE PARENTS WERE TERRIFIED AT THIS COST. AND THE NURSES TOOK HER ASIDE AND SAID, WE’RE TAKING CARE OF YOU, WE GOT HIM ENROLLED IN MEDICAID. AND MEDICAID IS NEED-BASED. SO HE NOW, BRANDON, CAME TO THAT EVENT. AND HE’S 20 YEARS OLD. HE HAS CEREBRAL PALSY, WALKS WITH A WALKER. HE’S HAD 37 SURGERIES. HE JUST TOLD US HE HAD FINISHED HIS FIRST COLLEGE COURSE, GOT AN A-MINUS IN IT. AND THERE WERE 200 PEOPLE AT THIS EVENT. HE WAS THE PERSON THERE THAT I WAS LEAST WORRIED ABOUT. HE WAS SO RESILIENT. I KNOW HE’S GOING TO DO GREAT. AND IF WE KEEP OBAMACARE AND WE HAVE TO MAKE CHANGES TO IT, AND WE SHOULD DO THAT IN A BIPARTISAN WAY, AND WE’RE BEGINNING TO DO THAT. HE WILL BE A HAPPY GERIATRIC. AND SO WILL BILLY, HE’LL AN HAPPY GERIATRIC. [ CHEERS AND APPLAUSE ] THAT’S WHAT THIS IS ABOUT. ONE OF MY COLLEAGUES YESTERDAY WAS ASKED ABOUT THIS BILL, REPUBLICAN COLLEAGUE, WHO I LIKE A LOT. HE’S A FRIEND OF MINE. BUT HE SAID, THERE ARE TEN REASONS TO VOTE AGAINST — >>Jimmy: CHUCK GRASSLEY SAID THIS?>>YES. THERE ARE TEN REASONS TO VOTE AGAINST THIS BILL, I GAVE YOU THREE. REALLY BIG REASONS. >>Jimmy: THIS IS A BILL HE’S PLANNING TO VOTE FOR. >>HE SAID, BUT THE ONE REASON TO VOTE FOR IT IS THAT WE PROMISED TO REPEAL OBAMACARE. AND THAT’S A POLITICAL REASON. LOOK.>>Jimmy: THIS IS THE PROMISE THEY WANT TO KEEP, I MEAN — THAT’S PRETTY CRAZY.>>I HAVE THE SEAT THAT PAUL WELLSTONE HELD. PAUL WAS A FRIEND OF MINE, HE DIED IN A PLANE CRASH 2002. HE SAID THIS. HE SAID ABOUT POLITICS, “POLITICS ISN’T ABOUT WINNING FOR THE SAKE OF WINNING. IT ISN’T ABOUT MONEY, IT ISN’T ABOUT POWER. IT’S ABOUT IMPROVING PEOPLE’S LIVES.” AND THAT’S WHAT HEALTH CARE IS ABOUT. AND SO YOU SHOULDN’T BE VOTING FOR SOMETHING BECAUSE YOU MADE A POLITICAL PROMISE, IF THERE ARE A WHOLE BUNCH OF OTHER PEOPLE, MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WHO ARE GOING TO BE HURT. [ CHEERS AND APPLAUSE ]>>Jimmy: IT SEEMS VERY REASONABLE. IT DOESN’T SEEM HARD TO UNDERSTAND. EVERYBODY KNOWS SOMEBODY WITH A PRE-EXISTING CONDITION. EVERYONE DOES. >>AND THAT’S WHY — AND THOSE PEOPLE SHOULD BE CALLING. THEY SHOULD BE MAKING THEIR VOICES HEARD. THE PEOPLE HERE IN THE AUDIENCE, THE PEOPLE AT HOME. THIS MAKES A DIFFERENCE. SO THEY SHOULD MAKE THEIR VOICES HEARD. THIS MAKES A TREMENDOUS DIFFERENCE. THEY ONLY HAVE ABOUT A WEEK TO DO THIS. >>Jimmy: YEAH. >>THEY HAVE UNTIL ACCSEPTEMBER 30th, THE END OF NEXT WEEK FOR

  1. If this bill passes ? Republicans need to be made responsible for every American that perishes because of it! LOCK THEM UP !

  2. I have so much respect for Al Franken, and gained A LOT for Kimmel speaking up like he did, would just like to see him stick up for other issues that doesn't necessarily affect him directly, as well. He has such a platform and can make such a difference!

  3. I love Senator Franken. If you have watched him in hearings and on the senate floor, he is an excellent senator. He isn't just a celebrity who had nothing else to do. Actually, I didn't find him a great comedian – but he has a great sense of humor.

  4. It's amazing to watch the role that late-night comedy is playing in opposing Trump and his agenda. How fitting would it be if he were replaced in office by a former late-night comedy writer?

  5. It was not that long ago that America thought government should be run like a business, i.e. Cut everything that does not make a profit or is not on its way to making a profit. We sort of no longer think the environment and clean air/water and sewers and trash should be all about profit. So America has come a long way really. Yes, we have a long way left to go. A long long way left to go.

  6. Yeah! Keep comedians out of politics! Leave it to senile reality TV stars with 8th grade vocabularies, and ties to enemy states. Oh and Nazis.

  7. Jimmy SHUT UP.You only talk to keep yourself in the limelight. You think you are cute to bash the President. To bad about freedom of speech. You and all the other fake news people need to be put on an island and you can report on yourselves and how stupid you all are.

  8. Don’t Fall for Jimmy Kimmel’s Cheap Zero-Sum Emotionalism
Kimmel doesn’t believe Americans deserve the chance to reduce the cost of health care with market-based reforms on the state level.
    By David Harsanyi — September 22, 2017

In recent months, late-night talk-show host Jimmy Kimmel has taken to scaremongering his audience with well-worn Democratic-party talking points regarding health-care-insurance policy. Between yuks, he occasionally accuses Republicans of being would-be baby killers, which is treated as an important political development because, well, Jimmy Kimmel is famous.

This week, the comedian was back to explain why the new Graham-Cassidy Republican “repeal” bill is bad news. There were only two things wrong with his monologue: Almost everything he said was either completely untrue or highly misleading, and his simplistic emotional appeal was completely disconnected from the real world.

The comedian’s interest in policy was sparked by the harrowing experience of having a newborn son who suffered from a rare health condition. Thankfully, his boy is okay. “If your baby is going to die and it doesn’t have to, it shouldn’t matter how much money you make,” said an emotional Kimmel in May. “I think that’s something that, whether you’re a Republican or a Democrat or something else, we all agree on that, right?”

Yes, everyone agrees. As far as I know, there isn’t a single politician in America who has ever supported allowing babies to die because they are born with birth defects, even if the parents can’t pay. Not pre-Obamacare, and not post-Obamacare.

In any event, after Kimmel’s May rant, Louisiana senator Bill Cassidy showed up on his show to explain his position. These types of culture encounters shouldn’t be dismissed, because the fact is that most viewers are unaware of specific policies and have a notional understanding that’s prejudiced by the establishment media’s coverage. Cassidy came up with something he called the “Jimmy Kimmel test,” a test that no “family should be denied medical care, emergency or otherwise, because they can’t afford it.”

Kimmel claims that the new bill doesn’t meet this threshold. “This guy, Bill Cassidy, just lied right to my face,” the talk-show host said on Tuesday night during an extended political rant. He went on to say, “And by the way, before you post a nasty Facebook message saying I’m politicizing my son’s health problems, I want you to know: I am politicizing my son’s health problems.” Okay.

He explained: “Coverage for all? No. Fact, it will kick about 30 million Americans off insurance.”

Not a single person would be “kicked off” his or her insurance. Rather, the Congressional Budget Office review of the American Health Care Act found that of the 24 million Americans who would no longer have health insurance after an Obamacare repeal, 14 million would choose not to buy insurance in 2018 in the absence of a penalty. And if Obamacare were not repealed, the CBO projects another 6 million people would voluntarily leave the Obamacare markets. Now, if you don’t believe Americans should be afforded the choice to leave or not buy insurance, just say that. No one is being kicked off.

Moreover, if Kimmel supports the individual mandate, Graham-Cassidy allows California to institute it — as I am sure it would.

Kimmel says: “Pre-existing conditions? Nope. If the bill passes, individual states can let insurance companies charge more if you have a pre-existing condition.”

States would be allowed to apply for waivers to change what qualifies as an essential health benefit as long as they still preserve “adequate and affordable health insurance coverage” for people with pre-existing conditions. You may prefer price fixing to allowing states flexibility to try and fix these problems, but Graham-Cassidy does not break the “Jimmy Kimmel test.” Kimmel might not be aware that there is no plan in place that has government cutting checks after every surgery.

Kimmel then implored his audience to call Cassidy to stop the imaginary bill he had just described. It’s a shame that Kimmel didn’t provide a number to call for the tens of millions of Americans who have seen their premiums and out-of-pocket costs skyrocket under Obamacare’s strictures. Is there no number available for those who are sick of being in exchanges that coerce them to buy plans they don’t need that are sold by companies they don’t like in fabricated, noncompetitive “markets” with dwindling choices?

Anyway, so went a monologue that could have been written by any liberal activist. Which is to say it was all about cheap zero-sum emotionalism. Kimmel doesn’t believe Americans deserve the chance to reduce the cost of health care with market-based reforms on the state level, or in giving states any flexibility in catering their plans to their own citizens. Kimmel believes California and New York should spend more per capita and smaller states should suffer. Kimmel doesn’t believe that individuals and families should be allowed to contribute to health savings accounts or use them to help pay ever-growing insurance premiums. Kimmel wants average Americans to suffer.

You see? Anyone can play this game.

  9. In Norway health care is free for everyone. Dental care is free for everyone under 18, those over 18 only have to pay 20 prosent. The government takes the rest of the bill. I'm so glad i don't live in the US:

  10. Many Americans accuse other countries of having "socialist" medicine, but their government spends by far more per capita than countries like Canada do.

  11. I have a relative who had pretty much every major organ replaced by transplants and survived it all and lives on for decades. He ended up becoming a professor at a very famous university. I think you have to always take the chance if you think you can save someone and I would be happy for my tax dollars to deal with those bills for people.

These surgeons deserve to be rich, these insurance companies don't. Just do away with all that and splash out on a good public health system. America spends more tax dollars than any other country on its system. I think its just mathematically true that special interests are using healthcare as a giant cash grab. Doctors are pretty rich in my country and no one would ever be put in financial trouble with a health bill. Although compensation for lost work is pretty limited for things that are longer than a few days but too short term for disability benefits.

  12. SHAME on you Franken! You just signed on as a co-sponsor to Bernie Sanders bill "Medicare For All" and you never mentioned it. All you did was talk about Obamacare. You had the chance to bring up this important bill, but you didn't. You are nothing but a bought and paid for politician. SHAME on you.

  13. #AlfrankenISM when you do the right thing anyway…. we need a word for doing the right thing even when corporate profits are at stake… oh those profits,… ohhhh profits…. oh oh PROFITS…..

  14. Trump,"Nobody is going to mess with Americans!" Except when he and the GOP tries to take heathcare away from Millions of Americans. How anybody still believes his garbage is beyond imagination.

  15. We need to get corporate money out of politics. The root of cause of our poiliticians refusal to address literally every important issue we are facing is the fact that they take huge amounts of money from the corporations that don't want to see the kind of legislation that benefits average Americans because it almost always impacts their bottom line. So the politicians who are supposed to watch out for OUR interests instead work on behalf of their biggest donors, which are corporations. Wall Street/Banking Conglomerates same thing. How can a politician who takes huge donations from Wall Street even pretend he's pro-worker rights/fair pay? The two are diametrically opposed.

  16. They promised their donors tax cuts…that's what these repeals bills are. They know 12% of the population supports a repeal of Obamacare, so on those grounds it should never pass…but 100% of rich people willing to fund their reelections do want the repeal…and that's why they are pushing so hard to pass something no one wants.

  17. Congress wants to destroy Obamacare to make a Narcississtic manchild happy so it can feed his ego. That is what is important to the Republicans. It will screw millions of people, but they have to take care of the baby in chief.

  18. Cosponsering Bernie's single payer bill means little if you aren't willing to publicly advocate for it. In fact it just proves to people like me that you only did it for progressive brownie points. Prove me wrong please.

  19. Lifetime cap ??? what kind of a country is USA ?, So happy i did not get born in a country, where its my wallet that decide if i get treatment.
I remember a time not to long ago where USA was the land of opportunities, and the president was the leader of the free world.
Now USA is the land of the stupid, and Angela is the leader of the free world.

  20. Franken is another lying SOB. You people here are so out of touch with these politicians. This guy is no better than the republican that just lied to Jimmy. They're one the same team.

  21. North Korea has universal health care. Not saying that it is good care since like the US they think the military is the most important thing to invest in, but at least everyone has the same access to the lousy health care.
In the US only the rich are given good healthcare. I call that rationing.

Surely the US can give equal access to healthcare if NK can do so? Then maybe not – we have Republicans in our government. People who believe that dying so that the rich can get big tax cuts should be considered a privilege by the poor and middle class..

  22. You can tell by Jimmy's body language that the whole situation is really driving him mad and that he's very upset, especially when they bring up Billy's health issue. He's such a great person for speaking up about it and raising awareness. I really hope the Senate prevents this terrible bill from passing. I'm not American but I'm with you guys, hang in there. <3

  23. If they want to repeal Affordable healthcare they should actually put some work into making a BETTER bill.
But they're lazy. They don't want to write a real healthcare bill.

  24. YOUR TAX $$ AT WORK! THE SHIMMY JIMMY/CHUCK THE SCHMUCK NEXUS! YOU'RE PAYING FOR IT!
Jimmy Kimmel got help from Schumer in health bill battle, report claims
Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel got talking points from Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. as he prepared a series of monologues attacking the latest Republican effort to repeal ObamaCare, according to a report published Friday.

The Daily Beast reported that Schumer's office "provided technical guidance and info" about the so-called Graham-Cassidy bill, as well as "stats from various think tanks and experts" on the bill's effects.

"Jimmy wanted to learn more about what was going on politically and policy-wise," The Daily Beast quoted a source as saying, "[and] he wanted to fight this thing."

The host of ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," repeatedly attacked the bill and one of its co-authors, Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La., over three episodes this week. At one point, Kimmel claimed that Cassidy had "lied to my face" when the senator appeared on the show to discuss health care.

Cassidy responded Thursday morning, telling "Fox & Friends" that "Jimmy doesn't understand."

"He’s only heard from those on the left who are doing their best to preserve ObamaCare,' Cassidy went on. "He’s not heard from me, because we’ve not spoken."

There was no immediate comment on the report from Schumer or Kimmel…

  25. Why does health care require health insurance? There's this entire industry built around meting out health care as they see fit when it should be simply something you have, paid for by taxes, not something you've purchased.

  26. Being from MN. I can tell you Franken is an immoral freak of a liberal dumbass. Should be eliminated from politics and return to being a sad comedian.

  27. Jimmy – please say "Medicare for All" or "singlepayer healthcare". Those are the path forward to make sure everyone gets the care they need!

  28. Yeah I'm done with talk shows, too much politics, stick with entertainment. Stop trying to push your liberal ideas on everyone

  29. hey, famous comics? Just saying that if we had single payer we wouldn't need medicaid. NO ONE would have to worry about seeing a doctor or getting treatment. I don't see either one of you getting behind Bernie's plan in any significant way that helps everyday ppl. Pretty words but seriously? It would have cost us less to file medical bankruptcy than pay premiums to private insurance….missed that point did you all when you "protected us"NOT?

  30. GET A GOOD EDUCATION = GET A GOOD JOB = HEALTH INSURANCE  OR SERVE IN THE MILITARY = HEALTH COVERAGE OUR COUNTRY WAS NOT FOUNDED ON WELFARE FOR EVERYONE

  31. Thank you Jimmy you may have saved more lives than you could have ever dreamed possible, I thank you for seeing what God's love can do.

  32. who is going to pay for free everything little young stupid people?the rich jewish entertainment people you adore will fight like hell if you raise their taxes.you will end up paying for it and it will cost you mucho'

  33. Just what this country needs, two ex-comedians talking politics on national TV. And I do mean ex. Oh wait Kimmel was never funny.

  34. Totally out of touch liberals who do nor understand not only did Obamacare ruin manybusinesses and people's healthcare coverage, single payer would completely collapse the system and the best option would simply be let the free market decide. But that would mean The Democrats woudl lose their grasp on their Neo-Communist gov't susbsidized welfare state they wish to impose! STOP VOTING DEMOCRAT!

  35. trump desperate to give a handout to insurance companies. trump just wants to be able to go to parties and dinners with other 1 percenters who own insurance companies after he's out of the white house. he's in the office only to try to loot 100k-200k here and there because he's insolvent, that's why he won't show his tax returns. that's why he did the apprentice and that's why he ran for office, really. he needs the money from hotel and mar a lago events for operating expenses while he's not liquid.

  36. funny how jimmy claims to care about the issue of healthcare yet somehow doesn't talk about the other healthcare bill introduced in the senate by bernie sanders that would solve all the problems he seems to care about without making compromises in the name of bipartisanship. also funny how franken who cosponsors that bill on paper, fails to mention it even once in a 6 minute discussion exclusively about healthcare

  37. Maybe the world would be better off if there was no health care at all in the U.S. ; Then all Americans would die and there would be no one left to drop bombs on the innocent women and children in the 8 or 9 countries that are being destroyed by the U.S. right now !

  38. Thank you for what you are doing, Jimmy.

I don't understand why people should be excluded from having a voice in our democracy because of their profession. A democracy is a government OF the people, BY the people, and FOR the people. We ALL have a valid voice and contribution.

I would love it if Alex Jones and Rush Limbaugh went off the air. But I will defend their right to be on the air and say whatever they want. I may vehemently disagree with them, but I support their right to speak. This is what a democracy is all about.

  39. Despite ALL of this self-serving banter about THE ABSOLUTE LACK OF INFLUENCE ANY DEMOCRAT HAS OVER THE EVIL MACHINATIONS OF THE REPUBLICAN FUMBLERS IN CONGRESS AND THE WHITE HOUSE, it would have been MUCH MORE IMPORTANT AND INFORMATIVE for Jimmy Kimmel to ask why did Senator Al Franken just vote to increase the annual US Military budget by 82 BILLION DOLLARS – 30 BILLION MORE THAN TRUMP & CO., INC. EVEN ASKED FOR – THAT WOULD NOW BRING TOTAL ANNUAL US MILITARY SPENDING TO JUST OVER 700 BILLION DOLLARS? That's more than 54% – 54 PERCENT – of US annual spending! And MOST of his fellow Democratic Party Senators often ask the feckless question of "where are we gonna find the money?" for Universal Healthcare for ALL pre-natal to pre-grave Americans and any other expenditure TO BENEFIT THE US CITIZENRY HERE AT HOME! Just a fraction of that 82 billion dollar annual increase could fund FREE PUBLIC SCHOOL EDUCATION – PRE-SCHOOL TO POST-DOCTORAL – for ALL Americans every year! Franken is just another self-inflicted victim of taking a bite out of the Poison Apple of Corporate Lobbyist Knowledge that warps his mind and soul into believing that he, too, could become obscenely wealthy while on a public servant's meager annual salary! He and the innumerable others need only delay gratification until they can free themselves of that pesky remnant of those bribery prohibitions included with their "public service." And Al Franken was joined in that 82 BILLION DOLLAR INCREASE VOTE by Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, Sherrod Brown, and Dianne Feinstein, just to name a few of the SUPPOSEDLY "PEACE LOVING" PROGRESSIVE LIBERALS OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY! Just like some once dear yet now former friends of mine who became predatory meth addicts, these politicians of every stripe JUST CAN'T BE TRUSTED TO BE AROUND ANYONE ELSE'S MONEY!

  40. Franken is an establishment boi. how do you speak out loud about our health care crisis for six minutes without demonizing the insurance industry?? 1) tell an anecdote about one or two people you know or met – this is politics 101 2) close with a platitude like "politics is about improving people's lives" without mentioning any specifics. meanwhile, "Senator Franken, how do you vote on H.R. 2810: National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2018, to increase the military's operating budget by 10%, roughly $70 billion?" Franken: I vote Yes, bc uh, improving lives. Dems and GOP are failing us.

  41. 'll give Al Franken this, he testified immediately that he had received a 'Jew Warning', to stay away from his WTC Office on 911. This may be the Israeli ODIGO instant messaging service that others said they had also gotten, a 911 'stay away' warning before 911.
