I was sincerely excited for Buttigieg’s run for President. As a gay man, I was awed at his knowledge and overall demeanor. Since then, his candidacy has disappointed me, namely by the way he has courted corporate donors. He’s trying to placate two irreconcilable forces: the existing corporate political establishment v. Genuine Progressivism. I do not trust Pete Buttigieg for real systemic changes. He’s simply the younger version of a Biden, or Clinton. In retrospect, I was merely infatuated with him. But I’m over him.
Mental health care is in crisis. Here in Seattle, any big city, the mentally ill are a on the streets, a danger to others and in need of help, and the courts just throw them back out. You're a caring man, sir. I sure hope you become ou rnext VP or president.
Very ironic… if Buttigieg is going to tackle the mental health care crisis, then he must tackle the homosexual crisis, for that's a growing mental health problem in the U.S..
