Norco College Student Health Services

{music} Hi. Welcome to Norco College Student Health Services located right here on the lower level of the Library. Health & wellness strongly correlates with academic success. Missing a few classes could significantly impact your academic performance. At the Student Health Center, we offer many services aimed at keeping our students happy and healthy. If you’re currently enrolled in at least 1 unit, you’ve already paid your student health fees allowing you to take advantage of our services. It’s easy! If you’re under the weather or just not feeling like yourself, make an appointment or just walk-in and see one of our friendly health professionals. As you walk into the lobby, you will find our convenient self-check-in stations that are your portal to access care. Our registered nurses can administer immunizations, TB tests, select lab screenings, basic first
aid, and dispense over the counter medications. For short term & acute medical illness, as
well as preventative care such as well woman exams, STD screenings, lab tests, and prescriptions,
you can be evaluated by our medical doctor or nurse practitioner. While most services
are FREE to our students such as exams, condoms, and feminine products; there are small fees
for lab tests, prescriptions, and immunizations. The fees can be conveniently paid for at the Cashier’s Office by cash or check. If you’re having trouble adjusting to college life, having family or relationship issues, suffering from stress, anxiety or depression, our dedicated
mental health counselors are available by appointment and free of charge to help you overcome those obstacles. These sessions are completely safe and confidential. If you feel like hurting yourself or someone else, please call the National Suicide Hotline or contact us immediately. As part of our mental health initiative, our Peer Educators can be found
reaching out to students in and outside of the classroom. You will see them all across
campus holding events and conducting classroom presentations to promote stigma reduction
and awareness of mental health. In an effort to promote healthy living both on and off
campus, we have partnered with Student Health 101 to offer students a FREE online magazine
with tips & articles focusing on the health and wellness of college students. Enter every
month for your chance to win $1,000. Signing up is easy! Visit us on the web at or simply text NORCOCOLLEGE to 40691 to begin receiving tips right to your phone.
