DIY Face & Body Cream

Hi and welcome to The Vegan Corner. Today’s recipe
is a bit of an unusual one, one that I wouldn’t necessarily
recommend eating straight from the jar: DIY face and body cream! Now you might be asking yourself:
what the hell? Why is there a recipe for a
cosmetic product on a cookery channel? Well, if the word recipe is in there,
the vegan corner is interested. We asked our supporters on Patreon how they
would feel about having a series of videos on how to prepare a few
simple cosmetics at home, and due to their positive response, we are here with the first
of our cosmetic recipes. The ingredient list is in
the description below the video. To begin with, place the aloe gel
into a bowl followed by half of the oil. And yes, you heard right: we are actually going to use oils in this recipe
and there is nothing you can do about it. At this point start mixing vigorously and keep
doing so until the ingredients form an emulsion. Keep stirring the gel until
it perfectly combines with the oil into a smooth and super white cream. Here we are using sesame and almond oil, for
their nourishing and moisturizing properties. However, feel free to use
any other oil you desire, your choices range from
cooking oils like grapeseed oil to something a bit more
exotic such as argan oil. Every oil has its own properties and you might want to look into that
on the Internet before making this recipe, so to allow you to make a cream
perfectly tuned with your own needs. I’ll leave you a link for this
in the video description. You can now add in the rest of the oil
and stir once again to incorporate it. At this point,
the only thing that remains to be done is to add the essential oils into the bowl
and mix them in to complete the cream. Here we have used a combination
of lavender and cedar wood essential oil, which really is a great combination! However you might well prefer
to use other essential oils that better please
your olfactory system. It is important to mention that as this cream
is free from all preservatives and chemicals, it does lack of a long shelf life. This means that it is best to make it
and consume it within 3 weeks. And here is the final cream, ready to be used on your already
beautiful and unblemished vegan skin. That’s a line I never thought
I’d use to sign off a recipe! Please let us know what
you think about this series. Do you find it appropriate
for this channel? Do you like the idea of being able
to make your own cosmetics at home, free of nasty ingredients? Let us know in the comment section down below
as we’d love hearing your opinion on this. If you enjoyed watching this video,
please give it a thumbs up before moving on and subscribe if you haven’t already.

  9. hi there, after i watched this video, i try it right away! it's easy and really great .. but i'm wondering, how long should i keep it (i just place it on my table) should i put it inside the fridge?

  10. Could you please recommend any brands of bottled aloe gel that will work for this recipe? It's quite hard to find one without triethanolamine when carbomer is being used as thickener and I'd prefer to stay away from -amines whenever possible. Thanks Vegan Corner, love this channel already!

  11. wow! that is really a very ingenious way of preparing a natural and nourishing body creme.Looking forward to seeing more such 'recipes' on your channel.

  18. I found your channel yesterday and I am adoring the formulas of your creams. I have in my house "aloe vera" known here in Brazil for "babosa" and do not know how to take advantage then this recipe is very useful for me. Many thanks for the posts.

  19. SImple and wonderful recipe. I will try fresh aloe vera gel from supermarket and store the cream mixture in the refrigerator. Acne-prone users should try using non to low comedogenic oils (e.g., hemp, argan, rosehip, etc.)

  20. Yes yes and yes‼️WoW I’ve subscribed that has to be the easiest quickest yet lovely recipe I’ve seen and would do‼️ Thank you so much. xx

  21. For shelf life- will this last approximately 3 weeks stored at room temperature or in the fridge? Thank you for this awesome recipe!

  22. Thanks so much for making this vid! I've been looking for natural recipes for a while and I love the ingredient you use in this recipe, so gave it a go. I just have a question: I used aloe gel with carbomer, as recommended in the full recipe, but even after mixing for a good ten-fifteen minutes, the ingredients separate, and I'm not getting the lovely white-looking cream you show in the final result! Please can you advise? Thanks so much in advance!

  23. Oh yes, please… that's gold! I want more videos with DIY cosmetics. I've struggled with making my own foundation and now I'm totally lost, can't find any good vegan recipe. I'd try also this cream, but I bought aloe vera gel and it's very liquid and transparent, not like this one so I guess i wouldn't make a thick cream out of it… I have to experiment πŸ˜€ keep on doing great videos.

  24. Totally LOVE it! I have been making this recipe and works amazing for my most sensitive skin! Thanks so much!!!
